The Effect of Non-Pharmacological Intervention on Psychological Determinants and Blood Pressure among Hypertensive Patients

Background: New evidence highlights the impact of psychological determinants in somatic diseases. Poorly controlled hypertension was a significant public health concern all over world. Aim: This study aimed to evaluate effect non-pharmacological intervention on and blood pressure among hypertensive patients. Design: A quasi- experimental pre-test–post-test control group design has been implemented. Sample: purposive sample used select 202 subjects from Internal Medicine out-patient clinic El-Shohadaa Central Hospital at town, Menoufia governorate, Egypt. Tools: Four tools were collect data; 1) Interviewing questionnaire assess socio-demographic clinical data 2) Bio- physiological measurements measure body mass index systolic diastolic pressure. 3) Health promotion lifestyle profile readiness change diet exercise. 4) Beck depression inventory-II perceived stress scale determinants. Results: The findings revealed highly statistically reduction in mean score and, post-intervention compared to baseline where P3 = 0.000. Also, there improvement exercise post- intervention among (P3 0.000, 0.01) respectively. Conclusion: It concluded that positive blood pressure, patients' diet, determinants Recommendations: Non-pharmacological should be provided patients other who suffer chronic disease
